The Super Duty® MOD1 Heavy Barrel (HBAR), takes the Super Duty® platform to the next level, with a heavy profile barrel that can handle sustained rates of fire while maintaining the accuracy and reliability the Super Duty is known for.
 
Foundational to the renowned quality and performance of this Super Duty system is the in-house produced Cold Hammer Forged, chrome-lined Heavy barrel and Nanoweapon®-coated Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group. Both the Geissele CHF barrel and Forged Stressproof Bolt® are High-Pressure Tested (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI), and work in concert to achieve unmatched dependability with match-grade accuracy. The Super Duty features a precisely balanced gas system, including the bomb-proofed Super Gas Block, fine-tuned gas port sizing and Super 42® braided buffer spring. These purposefully selected components minimize felt recoil while maintaining reliable cycling, even in adverse conditions. The MOD1 features the signature Nanocoated HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device, offering seamless compatibility with the innovative HUXWRX FLOW series.
 
At your fingertip is the SSA-E X® two-stage trigger, which provides unrivaled control and performance with a wide-body Lightning Bow® shape and Nanocoated components. Purpose-driven controls, like the ambidextrous Super Configurable Safety and Airborne Charging Handle, checkered magazine release and Maritime Bolt Catch provide superior interfacing with the platform.
 
Rounding out the MOD1, the well-vetted center-tab mated MK16 rail and B5 SOPMOD stock uphold the exceptional ergonomics the Super Duty is known for. The MOD1 enhances handling with the modernized A17 grip, and improves on modularity with the incorporation of the Geissele Quick Disconnect (QD) Sling Mount Endplate and stainless steel QD inserts on the MK16 rail.

What is Geissele Nanoweapon®?
Geissele Nanoweapon® (also known as Picatinny DSL) is a family of Durable Solid Lubricant coatings which was developed by ARDEC. It is available exclusively from Geissele Automatics. We continued the development of Picatinny DSL so that its level of corrosion, wear and abrasion resistance is currently unmatched among firearm coatings. Nanoweapon® is applied at low temperatures so that the underlying metallurgy of the part is non effected by the application process. Our coating also has a surface hardness roughly equivalent to synthetic diamond. This makes Geissele Nanoweapon® harder than sand, easily rejecting carbon and making cleaning a breeze, on top of allowing the firearm to operate normally with less lubrication.
